At NEXT, we value your growth; you’ll have the opportunity to lead a dedicated team in an environment that prizes proactivity and collaboration.
In this role, you won't just be moving tickets; you will be driving end-to-end delivery and ensuring our systems provide real value to the business. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Team management: This will include the BAU Support Areas as well as the Finance Transformation Support Team - Managing both areas with clear & conscious objectives of what needs to be prioritised and bridging any gaps between the areas; This is an imperative skill as there are often escalations from both areas, which can happen at the same time so having the ability to work on multiple actions & work with the relevant areas management to make sure items are picked up seamlessly with limited delay is a crucial part of this role as well as managing resource.
- Stakeholder partnership: Acting as the primary liaison for senior Finance leaders, translating technical bottlenecks into clear business decisions - This will include when issues are escalated making sure frequent but meaningful updates are given as well as helping provide full RCA information back to the business on what happened & how it’ll be prevented for future issues that may occur.
- Governance: Proactively managing project budgets, as well as managing 3rd party costs & signing off their invoices. Support documentation for changes happening in the area making sure all teams are “in the know” on what might affect them and if any processes change off the back of that.
We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented professional who thrives in the ‘grey area’ between IT and Finance. To succeed in this role, you will need:
- IT Project Management experience
- Support knowledge background
- ServiceNow experience
- A solid grasp of core accounting principles and financial reporting requirements - To help understand the finance teams priorities when it comes to issue management
- The ability to make the complex sound simple, whether you are talking to a developer or senior leadership.
- You don’t just find problems, you bring potential solutions to the table and stay resilient during busy periods as well as helping proactively identify issues before they occur.
- A proactive approach to teamwork and a commitment to maintaining high standards of delivery
- Understanding with the teams you manage their day to day activities so you can better understand their workload and offer helpful insight when required
