Editorial policy
How UK Retail Jobs writes, sources and checks its guides, blog posts and news.
Who writes our content
Guides, blog posts and news are written by the UK Retail Jobs editorial team. We write in plain English for people looking for retail work in the UK.
Where our facts come from
- We use primary sources: GOV.UK, ACAS, the Low Pay Commission, the Office for National Statistics, and retailers’ own careers pages and press releases.
- Every piece ends with its sources, and each source shows the date we checked it.
- When we quote a retailer’s pay, we say when we checked it. Pay changes often, so always check the job advert too.
- Pay figures from our own job listings are only shown when we have at least 10 adverts to base them on.
- If we cannot check a fact, we leave it out.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to help research and draft. Every figure and claim is checked against its source before a piece is published. We never let AI invent pay, dates, numbers or quotes.
News
Our news covers UK retail jobs and the retail industry. We write each story in our own words, name the original source and link to it.
Independence
We are not connected to any retailer we write about. Retailers do not pay for, see or approve our content. Some guide pages show a sponsor card, and sponsors have no say in what we write.
Reviews and corrections
Each piece shows when it was first published and when it was last checked. We review guides at least every six months, and pay figures every April when the legal minimum wage changes. If you spot a mistake, email hello@ukretailjobs.co.uk and we will fix it.
