There’s a reason we call them zoom riders as they nip around the City - finding those shortcuts and beating the traffic!
Our customers at Ocado never know when they are going to be missing that vital ingredient or when the munchies might hit, so our Zoom riders are critical in steering their sleek power-assisted cargo bikes to the rescue at just the right time.
You’ll be our customers’ first point of contact, so all we ask is that you deliver joy safely with a smile. And in return we guarantee no two days are ever the same but every one is an adventure.
With a starting rate of £13.19 per hour (paid on a lunar cycle of every 4 weeks), you will be required to work 40 hours per week (across 8-hour shifts of AM and PM) across any 5 out of 7 days.
We also offer a shopping list of perks, including:
- 15% off Ocado Shopping and loads of retail and food deals for you and the family to enjoy
- The opportunity to earn shares in Ocado Group – as we are all working toward our ongoing success
- Extra holiday buy back options – for when you need that little extra break
- A healthy pension plan to help with future planning - matched up to 7%
- And tools and services to keep you in tip-top condition as you face the elements head-on!
Ready to ride?
No delivery experience? No stress! Providing you can safely ride a bicycle, we’ll provide your cargo ebike, all the equipment you require, and our comprehensive cargo bike and customer experience training. You just need to bring a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, a winning smile and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
Riders must be prepared to work in all weather conditions and possess a good level of fitness as you will be required to pull a minimal cargo bike load of 50kg.
- Fill in an online application - there is no CV needed!
- Our friendly recruitment team will get in touch to conduct our Right to Work Checks.
- You will be invited to take a tour of the site, giving you the opportunity to meet the team and find answers to any questions you might have
- Once all checks are completed, you will be offered the role and your career with Ocado Logistics will begin!
A career at Ocado Group can lead to many things with fantastic opportunities available in various parts of the business.
We prioritise inclusivity and equal opportunities for all individuals, ensuring a supportive and accessible workplace for people with disabilities. So, whatever your background or story, you’ll find a home at Ocado Logistics.
