Job description

We have exciting opportunities for a Trainee Marketing Executive to join our eCommerce at our Leicestershire Head Office. Stepping into our Digital Advertising team, you will play a crucial part in showcasing NEXT products to new and existing customers across the UK and globally.

During your 18 month programme, you will be part of our performance marketing team working in Martech and Paid Search. You will learn about how product feeds and marketing tags/pixels work to drive performance of our advertising. It is a fast-paced, highly data-driven environment, but you won't be expected to know it all from day one.

You will receive hands-on training from our media buying experts and martech experts, giving you the ongoing support you need to master the platforms, understand algorithms, and confidently launch your career with a leading retail brand.

These fast-paced roles are perfect for a data-savvy graduate or professional who is eager to launch a career with a leading retail brand.

  • Gain hands-on support and training from our team of experts to become proficient in media buying platforms and understand the drivers of profitable performance advertising.
  • Learn how we optimise product feeds and manage media tagging.
  • Learn about project management techniques.
  • Act as a day to day touchpoint for our external media agencies and key partners.
  • Learn to use data sources to create and produce regular reports that provide actionable insights.
  • Track competitor activity across global markets to help us maintain a competitive advantage.

  • A recent graduate of a Marketing degree which includes a mathematics/data module or a STEM degree, or someone with a year of professional experience and a clear passion for digital marketing.
  • A self-starter who stays cool under pressure and thrives in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
  • Highly organised with a strong ability to take direction, manage your time and deliver tasks accurately.
  • An inquisitive learner with a genuine "thirst to learn" and a "can do" attitude toward team collaboration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You possess a mix of creative flair and strong numerical literacy, with high attention to detail.
  • An intermediate to advanced user of Google Suite or Microsoft Office (Excel/Sheets).

BE BRAVE. BE YOU. BE NEXT.

You know Next, but did you know we’re a FTSE-100 retail company employing over 44,000 people across the Next group. We’re the UK’s 2nd largest fashion retailer and for Kidswear we’re the market leader. At the last count we have over 450 stores, plus the Next Online and it’s now possible to buy on-line from over 80 countries around the world! So we’ve gone global!
