As a Placement Test Analyst based at our Leicester Head Office, you will join our rapidly growing technology team to play a crucial role in driving our business forward. You will make a real difference in a fast-moving retail environment by ensuring our technology meets the highest quality standards.
Working closely with agile teams and key business users, you will be supported in an encouraging, fast-paced environment where you will learn about manual and automated testing strategies to build a great career.
This is a 12-month industrial placement and applicants must be studying a relevant University Degree course that includes a dedicated placement year July 2027 to July 2028.
What you'll take on
- Assisting in the production of test plans and the evolution of test strategies across our platforms.
- Interpreting functional specifications for new features and exploring edge cases to diagnose potential issues.
- Proactively liaising with the agile team and business users during testing phases.
- Providing timely updates, generating status reports, and alerting the team to any potential problems.
What you'll bring
- Current study towards a STEM degree (on track for a 2:1 or higher) or a STEM Master's degree that includes a 12-month placement, ideally with relevant studies in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field.
- An exceptional eye for detail and a systematic, logical approach to solving complex problems.
- Natural curiosity and a strong desire to understand how systems work, and how they might break.
- Clear and professional communication skills, allowing you to articulate findings to both technical and non-technical team members.
- A self-motivated, ambitious attitude with an eagerness to learn and build strong, collaborative working relationships.
