Job description

At TJX Europe, every day brings new opportunities for growth, exploration, and achievement. You’ll be part of our vibrant team that embraces diversity, fosters collaboration, and prioritises your development. Whether you’re working in our Distribution Centers, Corporate Offices, or Retail Stores—TK Maxx & Homesense, you’ll find abundant opportunities to learn, thrive, and make an impact.

Come join our TJX team—a Fortune 100 company and the world’s leading off-price retailer.

At TK Maxx, no two days are ever the same. Our unique business model means we're constantly bringing customers incredible brands at exceptional prices, creating an exciting and fast-paced retail environment where commercial thinking, people leadership, and adaptability are key to success.

We're looking for an experienced and ambitious Store Manager to lead one of our high-volume retail operations. This opportunity will suit a proven retail leader from a large-format or big-box retail environment who thrives on developing high-performing teams, driving commercial results, and influencing business performance at both store and regional level.

As Store Manager, you'll have full accountability for the operational and commercial success of a multi-million-pound retail business. Leading large scale teams of associates and managers, you'll create an inclusive, welcoming, and engaging environment where colleagues can perform at their best and customers enjoy an outstanding shopping experience.

You'll be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve performance, driving sales growth, enhancing operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional people outcomes. Working closely with your District Manager and regional stakeholders, you'll use data, insight, and strong influencing skills to shape decisions that positively impact the wider business.

  • Leading and developing large store teams, creating a culture of accountability, engagement, and high performance.
  • Driving commercial performance through effective planning, analysis, and execution.
  • Identifying opportunities to grow sales, improve productivity, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Building strong succession pipelines by coaching, mentoring, and developing future leaders.
  • Managing employee relations matters confidently and effectively, ensuring a positive and fair working environment.
  • Creating an inclusive culture where associates feel valued, supported, and motivated to succeed.
  • Partnering with District Managers and regional stakeholders to influence business decisions and deliver strategic objectives.
  • Delivering operational excellence across all areas of the business, ensuring standards, compliance, and customer satisfaction are consistently achieved.
  • Leading change initiatives and inspiring teams through periods of growth and transformation.

We're interested in hearing from experienced retail leaders who can demonstrate:

  • Regional / multi site or Store Manager experience within a large-scale, high-volume retail environment.
  • Accountability for multi-million-pound sales turnover and full store P&L performance.
  • Leadership of large teams including support management teams.
  • Strong Employee Relations and people management experience.
  • Proven ability to drive commercial growth and deliver sustainable business improvements.
  • Experience building highly engaged teams and creating positive workplace cultures.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to operate effectively across regional leadership teams.
  • A track record of identifying opportunities, solving problems, and delivering results through others.
  • Resilience, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.

Beyond a competitive salary, bonus opportunity, associate discount, pension, healthcare, and life assurance, you'll join a business where no two days are the same and where talented leaders are empowered to make a real impact.

At TK Maxx, we invest heavily in our people. We celebrate individuality, encourage growth, and provide genuine opportunities to progress your career within one of the world's leading off-price retailers.

If you're a commercially driven retail leader with a passion for people development and operational excellence, we'd love to hear from you.

As proud as we are of our past success, it’s our future that excites us most. We strive to provide opportunities for growth, recognition and a competitive salary and benefits package. Share our determination to think bolder and bigger, and be part of our future.

We consider all applicants for employment without regard to age, disability, gender, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnerships, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and/or sexual orientation.
