Job description

As a Service Maintenance Technician in Refrigeration at Tesco, covering our Central London areas, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping our environments comfortable, safe, and fully operational for both customers and colleagues.

You’ll be part of a skilled maintenance team, responsible for both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a wide range of refrigeration systems and equipment. This is a hands-on, mobile role that requires strong technical knowledge, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to high standards of service and safety. In return, you’ll benefit from ongoing training, career development opportunities, and the chance to be part of one of the UK’s most recognised and respected retail brands.

The Hiring Manager for this role is James Cockrill.

As a Service Maintenance Technician in Refrigeration, your specific responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks. To thrive in this role, you will need to:

  • Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems to industry standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections and propose solutions for potential issues.
  • Monitor system performance and optimize efficiency.
  • Collaborate on preventative maintenance programs.
  • Respond to emergency service calls promptly.

  • Ability to read drawings.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong Refrigeration knowledge.
  • Maths & English qualifications
