Job description

Shape the future of Pet Care

At Pets at Home, we're on an exciting transformation journey. As we continue to evolve into the world's best pet care platform, technology and change are at the heart of everything we do.

We're looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our Portfolio team and play a key role in shaping strategic initiatives across our business. This isn't just about documenting requirements. It's about understanding complex challenges, connecting people and ideas, influencing decisions, and helping turn ambitious plans into reality.

If you love solving problems, bringing clarity to complexity, and leading meaningful change, we'd love to hear from you.

A role with real influence

As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll operate across a diverse portfolio of business and technology initiatives, partnering with stakeholders from across the organisation to identify opportunities, define outcomes, and deliver lasting value.

You'll also lead and develop a team of Business Analysts, helping to build a high-performing BA community where collaboration, curiosity and continuous improvement thrive.

This is a role for someone who enjoys seeing the bigger picture whilst remaining close enough to the detail to challenge assumptions, uncover insights and ensure we're solving the right problems.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading business analysis activities across strategic change initiatives.
  • Partnering with stakeholders at all levels to understand business needs and shape future solutions.
  • Facilitating engaging workshops and discovery sessions that drive clarity and alignment.
  • Translating complex challenges into clear requirements, recommendations and actionable outcomes.
  • Supporting business case development, benefits realisation and decision-making.
  • Coaching and mentoring Business Analysts to help them grow and develop.
  • Championing best practice and continuously improving the Business Analysis capability across the organisation.
  • Building strong relationships across Product, Technology and Operational teams to ensure successful delivery.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, collaborative and passionate about making a difference.

  • Significant experience as a Business Analyst within a complex organisation.
  • Experience leading, mentoring or developing other Business Analysts.
  • Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
  • The ability to influence decisions through insight, evidence and effective storytelling.
  • Experience working across large-scale business and technology change initiatives.
  • A strong understanding of Agile delivery practices and modern ways of working.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and delivering value.

Most importantly, you'll enjoy bringing people together, asking great questions and helping teams navigate ambiguity to find the best solutions.

Our purpose is simple: to make the world a better place for pets and the people who love them.

You'll be joining a business that's investing heavily in technology, innovation and transformation, giving you the opportunity to work on high-profile initiatives that genuinely impact millions of customers, pet owners and colleagues.

You'll also be part of a collaborative culture where people care deeply about what they do, support one another to succeed, and aren't afraid to challenge themselves to do things better.

Pets just see people. We're committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and experiences and will provide any reasonable adjustments needed throughout the recruitment process.
