Job description

SHIFTS YOU ARE APPLYING FOR: 31hrs p/w; Mon 09:30 - 18:00; Tue 08:30 - 17:00; Thu 08:30 - 17:00; Sat 08:30 - 17:00

We’re looking for a confident and proactive Sales Manager to join our team. In this role, you’ll support sales and wider commercial performance on the shop floor, work closely with the team, and deliver an exceptional customer experience that reflects the Russell & Bromley brand.

This role is suited to someone who enjoys delivering excellent service, takes pride in high standards, and is comfortable supporting colleagues day to day.

This role offers a competitive base salary plus sales-based commission.

  • Support the smooth running of the store and help create a welcoming environment for customers and colleagues
  • Deliver an outstanding customer experience through excellent service and product knowledge
  • Support sales performance and help drive team delivery of store targets and KPIs
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and encouragement to team members
  • Open and close the store, acting as the responsible person on duty when required
  • Maintain high standards across visual merchandising, stock presentation, and replenishment
  • Handle customer queries and service issues with empathy and professionalism
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are consistently followed

  • Customer focused, with a warm, approachable and personable manner
  • Commercially aware and motivated by delivering strong sales performance
  • A supportive and dependable team player with strong communication skills
  • Organised, reliable, and comfortable working in a busy retail environment
  • Passionate about delivering a premium in-store experience
  • Previous experience in a supervisory, keyholder, or management role would be an advantage
  • Available to work a schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and key trading days; we are happy to discuss flexible working patterns that work for you

We encourage you to apply early, as applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis and the advert may close once sufficient applications have been received.

Successful candidates will be required to evidence their right to work before commencement of employment.

This role is not one we would typically consider for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route due to, for example, the relevant Home Office requirements on skills level, not being met. Candidates are therefore encouraged to consider their own right to work options without NEXT sponsorship.

You know Next, but did you know we’re a FTSE-100 retail company employing over 44,000 people across the Next group. We’re the UK’s 2nd largest fashion retailer and for Kidswear we’re the market leader. At the last count we have over 450 stores, plus the Next Online and it’s now possible to buy on-line from over 80 countries around the world! So we’ve gone global!

How to apply

Applications are handled entirely by the employer on the original advert. We do not collect CVs, supporting statements or application data.
