Competitve Salary | Hybrid | Travel to Gateshead Office Required
Looking to take the next step in your digital marketing career? Passionate about data, performance marketing and driving measurable results? We're looking for a highly skilled, analytical and self-motivated PPC Manager to join our dynamic in-house marketing team and play a key role in the success of our paid search strategy.
We offer a competitive salary, along with hybrid working based out of our Marketing Office in Gateshead. You'll be expected to attend the office a minimum of twice per month, typically for a total of 4 days per month, allowing you to collaborate with colleagues whilst maintaining flexibility.
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK's largest automotive retail marketing functions, comprising around 85 marketing professionals across a wide range of specialist disciplines. Unlike many organisations, all PPC activity is managed entirely in-house, giving you direct ownership, control and influence over campaigns, strategy and performance.
As a business committed to developing talent, you'll have access to ongoing training, development and genuine opportunities for career progression within a growing marketing team.
As PPC Manager, you will be responsible for managing, monitoring and optimising PPC campaigns across Google, Bing and Search Ads 360 (SA360). Working closely with colleagues across the wider marketing function, you'll develop and execute strategies that drive traffic, generate leads and maximise ROI across one of our business units.
This is a pivotal role where your expertise will directly contribute to the success of our digital marketing efforts. You'll be given the autonomy to identify opportunities, influence strategy and drive continuous performance improvements.
This position is ideal for someone with 3-5 years' hands-on PPC experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with large datasets and is passionate about delivering commercial results.
- Develop, manage and optimise PPC campaigns across Google Ads, Bing Ads and Search Ads 360.
- Conduct keyword research, audience targeting and ad copy creation to ensure campaign effectiveness.
- Monitor campaign performance and provide actionable insights to improve CTR, conversion rates and ROI.
- Manage significant advertising budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of spend.
- Collaborate with the wider marketing team to align PPC strategies with business objectives.
- Perform A/B testing across ad creatives and landing pages to improve campaign performance.
- Stay up to date with developments in search marketing, PPC trends and automotive digital advertising.
- Generate detailed performance reports and present findings to key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to increase online visibility and lead generation whilst maintaining efficiency.
- Work closely with the SEO team to share insights and implement cross-channel best practices that improve overall search performance.
- 3-5 years' hands-on PPC experience managing campaigns across Google Ads, Bing Ads and Search Ads 360 (SA360).
- Strong Search Ads 360 (SA360) experience is essential.
- Proven experience managing shopping campaigns and large-scale PPC accounts, ideally within a retail or automotive environment.
- Strong understanding of Google Ads, Bing Ads, GA4, Google Tag Manager and Google Merchant Centre.
- Experience managing sizeable advertising budgets and optimising spend to achieve commercial objectives.
- Ability to analyse performance data and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, alongside experience using reporting tools such as Looker Studio.
- Experience with A/B testing and continuous optimisation techniques.
- Good understanding of wider digital marketing channels including SEO, Display and Paid Social.
- Experience within automotive retail or e-commerce environments would be advantageous.
