Job description

Position: Optometrist

Location: Bognor Regis, West Sussex

Salary: Up to £75,000 depending on experience + a fantastic bonus scheme (average £6,000 - £7,000) + benefits

Working hours: Full time or part time with weekend flexibility and no late nights

Experience level: You must be a GOC registered Optometrist

We are looking for an ambitious and talented Optometrist to join our highly successful store in Bognor Regis. You will be working alongside a well-established and experienced team of optical professionals who focus on ensuring our patients have an excellent experience.

Specsavers in Bognor Regis has recently had a full refurbishment meaning you will be working in a fresh and modern environment. The store has a full time Contact Lens Optician, a dedicated pre-screening area as well as 4 test rooms equipped with the most up to date clinical equipment including OCT, Phoropters and Visual Fields.

At Bognor Regis, we believe in ensuring our Optometrists work with the best equipment so they can offer a first-class service to all our patients.

We will consider Optometrists who are confident testing at 25-minutes and there is also the opportunity to get involved in specialist clinics including the link scheme we run for cataract referrals, glaucoma retention and private EOS as well as pre-registration supervision.

Our sister store on Shripney Road is also looking for an Optometrist and you would have the option of working between both stores. Shripney Road has 3 test rooms which are also equipped with the latest clinical equipment.

Bognor Regis is a bustling seaside town on the South coast located on the Hampshire and Sussex border. There is ample parking at both stores and the train station is only a 3-minute walk from the store and boasts excellent transport links.

What’s on offer?

  • An annual salary of up to £75,000 depending on experience
  • A strong performance based bonus scheme - store average is £6,000 - £7,000
  • No late nights
  • Full time or part time with weekend flexibility
  • 33 days annual leave per annum plus your birthday off
  • Professional fees paid
  • Private medical and dental cover
  • Personal development plan tailored to your passions with all clinical development, further education and JVP Pathway programme offered
  • Access to the latest clinical technology
  • Exposure to specialist clinics
  • Tier 2 license in store
  • Working across sister stores

What we’re looking for

Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist, the right person for this position will be confident, possess a strong worth ethic and a willingness to succeed. You’ll be passionate about your job and enjoy a fast-paced environment. We are looking for an Optometrist who will go the extra mile for our customers and someone who encourages their colleagues to do the same.

In summary, we’re looking for a high calibre resident Optometrist to join us and assist in driving this excellent practice forward.
