Job description
Location: Riverside/Fairham, Nottingham
Step into a role where safety, compliance and continuous improvement are at the heart of business operations. As Health & Safety Manager, you'll lead the development and delivery of health and safety standards across our GrandVision Tech Centre, ensuring a safe, compliant and engaging working environment for all colleagues.
Lead Health & Safety Strategy
Take ownership of health and safety policies, procedures and compliance frameworks, ensuring the business remains aligned with current legislation and industry best practice.
Make a Genuine Impact
Drive a proactive safety culture, reducing risk, preventing incidents and promoting colleague wellbeing across the operation.
Influence & Improve
Partner with managers across the business to deliver training, audits, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen safety performance.

- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification (Diploma desirable)
- Previous Health & Safety experience, ideally within a manufacturing or operational environment
- Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and compliance requirements
- Experience conducting risk assessments, audits and incident investigations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence and engage colleagues at all levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Maintain and continuously improve health & safety policies, procedures and compliance standards
- Monitor and interpret health & safety legislation, ensuring legal compliance across the site
- Manage risk assessments, COSHH documentation and health & safety records
- Lead accident, incident and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and preventative actions
- Conduct internal audits and support external inspections and assessments
- Deliver health & safety training and guidance to managers and colleagues
- Oversee first aid arrangements, PPE compliance and contractor management processes
- Monitor waste management activities and support environmental compliance initiatives
- Partner with Facilities teams to ensure health, safety and statutory obligations are met
