Job description

You’ll work across a varied portfolio of future talent and skills activity, helping us build the talent and capabilities the AA needs for the future. You’ll help bring our Roadside entry talent programmes to life, build partnerships with colleges and training providers, and support priority skills initiatives across areas such as AI.

You’ll also help us make the most of our apprenticeship investment and improve our Early Careers and professional qualification processes. Across everything you do, you’ll bring people together, keep activity moving and use insight and fresh thinking to continually improve the experience and outcomes we deliver.

We’re more interested in your potential, approach and motivation than whether you’ve done this exact role before.

  • The drive to take ownership and turn ideas into action.
  • Confidence building relationships, sharing your thinking and influencing others.
  • Strong communication and organisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive, practical approach to solving problems and keeping things moving.
  • Curiosity and the confidence to challenge constructively and suggest better ways of doing things.
  • The ability to use data and insight to understand what’s working and make recommendations.
  • A genuine interest in people, talent, skills and creating opportunities for others.

You don’t need previous HR experience or to have done everything before. We’re looking for someone who learns quickly, takes responsibility, builds strong relationships and has the drive to make things happen.

At The AA, we value the unique perspectives, experiences and ideas that our people bring. We've nurtured a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected and empowered to do their best work.

Through our employee communities and inclusion initiatives, we’ve created opportunities for people to connect, share experiences and influence positive change across the business. This is a place where your voice matters and where you can belong, grow and succeed.

We believe in rewarding our people. That's why we offer a comprehensive benefits package including;

  • 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, the option to buy additional holiday
  • Up to 7% employer pension contribution
  • Free AA breakdown membership from Day One with 50% discount for family and friends, discounts on AA products including car and home insurance
  • 24/7 GP access and wellbeing support for you and your family
  • A wide range of employee discounts, including our popular car salary sacrifice scheme

Looking to build your career in HR and want the opportunity to make a real impact?

We’re looking for someone curious, ambitious and driven to join our Group Talent & Learning team and help shape how the AA develops and invests in future talent.

You might be a recent graduate, perhaps from HR, Psychology, Business or another discipline, or in the early stages of your career looking for your next move. Your background matters less than your potential, ability to build relationships and influence others, and drive to turn ideas into action.
