Timeless design. California heritage. Considered service.
Oliver Peoples was founded in 1987, with its first boutique in West Hollywood, California. Rooted in a vintage heritage aesthetic and inspired by the culture of Los Angeles, fashion, film, art and music, the brand is known for refined design, exceptional materials, exclusive product details and superior lens technology.
We’re looking for an Assistant Store Manager who understands that true luxury is felt in the details, how a store runs, how a team performs, and how every customer experience feels thoughtful, effortless and assured.
What you’ll do
You’ll support the Store Manager and lead the floor by:
- Leading by example, delivering elevated, personalised service that reflects the brand at every touchpoint.
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the store, ensuring standards, workflows and presentation are consistently upheld.
- Coaching and inspiring the team on the floor, reinforcing service expectations through presence, feedback and example.
- Using strong product knowledge and storytelling to support conversion, drive performance and achieve store targets.
- Overseeing floor coverage, priorities and busy periods, remaining calm, organised and solution focused.
- Supporting onboarding and ongoing development, helping build confidence, capability and consistency within the team.
- Building deep knowledge of brand heritage, craftsmanship, lenses and materials, and embedding this into daily selling.
What you’ll bring
- Have experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within a premium or luxury retail environment.
- Lead with quiet confidence, approachable, polished and trusted by both customers and colleagues.
- Have a strong eye for detail, from service delivery and product fit to store presentation and standards.
- Enjoy working to goals and KPIs, and take pride in team performance as well as your own.
- Are curious, coachable and motivated to grow, with a genuine passion for people and the brand.
Because this is a brand built on design purity, exceptional craftsmanship and timeless modernity, and the in-store experience should reflect that at every moment.
You’ll be part of a supportive, knowledgeable team where leadership is felt through presence, expertise and calm authority.
